another part of recreating Easter with my substitute family was having an Easter dinner...which was quite a lot of fun, despite the fact that we waited over an hour for the ham to actually be done (note to self: DO NOT trust the package instructions, and next time, factor in some extra time).

since us "newly weds" had never made a ham before, we asked Henry to do the honors and carve the meat...
